I'm angry. I'm not even halfway through. They knew, and they let it happen over and over and over. "I'm not supposed to refer you." They all knew.

Funny thing, on the eschatology bingo board. Says in Revelations 18:23 that the world will be decieved by magic/enchantments/sorcery.

Go find the original greek text of Rev 18:23 and pay close attention to that line.

I still think dollar generals are resupply points for invading paratroopers. Call me crazy, but why is there a DG in the middle of a hayfield, outside a town with a dog for a mayor?

Expand full comment

For real. A Dollar General opened up across the street from my parents' home several years ago . . . in a field. Keep in mind, this is not a town. Very, VERY rural. One gas station . . . that's it. Nearest town is 10 minutes to the north.

one of you guys has to infiltrate so the rest of us can find out for sure.

I don't think there's anything out of the ordinary there. It's just the placement that tickles my conspiracy senses. But think of all the small crap you wouldn't want to carry around with you, basic toiletries, cooking utensils, junk food and energy drinks, other cheap use-it-and-toss-it type items. That and their parking lots are always big enough to accommodate a handful of scout type vehicles.

The parking lot for this particular store is interesting too. The placement of the store is in between two streets that intersect right past the store (there's two other store buildings between the DG and the intersection). The intersection is almost an acute angle. The parking lot connects the two streets. It's a nice cut-through from one street to the other. Also, the one street passes over a parkway (less than a tenth of a mile away). I don't know how it is in every state, but in KY, parkways are like mini interstates. Very easy access from that parkway. That parkway then connects with a major interstate just 10 miles to the north.

Not a bad idea, if I still lived there!

They are an interesting business model. I know people who work in DG, and they don't make a huge margin on anything by they move a lot of product. It is what Walmart was 30 years ago.

found out due to service hiccups today: substack is technically not its own isp, but it's using one of the largest services in the world to host, and another of the largest to front. man whoever is making substack is making out like a madman on the $$. pretty brilliant. I am hoping that I can somehow find a way to streamline family time so I can get back to work on info tech and kinetic systems readiness.

My wife said the same thing about the ships a few weeks back. Now here is something to think about. If the ships are some sort of force, either manned or ordinance, would it be wise to tie up your biggest threat by keeping them busy while china kicks the shit out of taiwan and takes it. so the idea isn't to conquer the US but to kick us in our weakest moment and preoccupy our forces.

p.s. i also don't think there's any way its personnel in those logistics liners. there's no way that anybody in CCP/PLA thinks that even the best trained soldiers could take such a vibrant city from such a "beautifully diverse" mix of cartels and gangs, especially after sitting in a box on the water for months.

But most USAR truckers (88Ms) are also truckers in their civilian lives so this would gut the system to replace the system with the same people.

CSI Miami David Caruso would be show and actor with witty one liners like...

Random Cop: Bieber was murdered before his show

Caruso: Looks like the killer was Justin time.

The Who: YEAAHHHHHHHHH!
