Nick, even if you are wrong (which I hope you are), I would still buy your books. Reading your books has helped to put me in more of that survivalist mode - especially the Savage Wars. Is that weird? I don't think so!
And, yes, Single White Medusa, you two ARE the greatest podcasting couple!
On the Baofengs: they only have a 30 mile range (in good line of site conditions this is the limitation of VHF/UHF). Find out the frequencies of your local repeater stations and know these before you need to know them (I.e. no internet to look it up on). Also, it’s only legal to transmit in an emergency without a license so take note of that, I could see lots of people getting swept up for that.
Now, regarding the rage associated with the COVID vaccine... how do we handle this going forward? The US already imprisons more people than any other country in the world by orders of magnitude. How do we handle an influx of more inmates, if you're right on this?
Random thought, as someone eating healthier now. Is it just me or does the fruit taste... different? They're bigger than I remember as a kid, but they have less flavor. Tell me I ain't going crazy?
My general rule is it’s usually pretty tasteless at regular grocery stores, but at Trader Joe’s, Costco, Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc it’s usually much better tasting. But that’s my experience here in SoCal and it could vary elsewhere. Bonus if you have any local farms or produce stands. That should always be great.
Generally, the GMO fruits seem to have less flavor (seedless grapes, watermelons). Wife noted that after afghanistan, their grapes were huge and delicious, their watermelon tiny but superflavored. This is one field where organic is a good place to start.
I mean a lot of it is being shipped from overseas, so I imagine that the transit time and varying conditions affect the flavor, even with modern refrigeration.
Shortages... Ammo of course. As far as food, Gatorades and those Capri Sun juice boxes my kid loves are hardly ever in the store. Beef chicken pork still OK but prices going up. Some brands of flour are short esp my favorite King Arthur. Sugar is still OK as are canned goods. Boars Head deli meats are short for sure, store is only getting partial orders.
Paint is short especially spray cans. I tried to find some old work outlet boxes at Lowes and they have been out for months. An electrician told me the same thing. Prices for wire have skyrocketed.
Auto parts. Tried to buy an oil filter and they hardly had any. Brake rotors too. Cashier said once parts are gone it takes forever to get a truck in and that is usually only a partial order.
Not gonna lie, I wouldn't encourage anyone to go to college unless for a very narrow desired career fields. They're expensive albatrosses that are basically liberal indoctrination outfits.
I formally request coffee flavored waffle dipped in coffee for Nick for all future podcasts, when possible.
There's a company called Ready Made Resources that sells all kinds of survival/prep equipment, including radios, that might be worth checking out. Website is kindof wonky on mobile, but they've got a thumbs up from Warrior Poet.
Oh, and I've known about the war in Africa since that soldier died and the media used it to lambast Trump.
As for Tucker... I think he is controlled opposition so we feel like we have an outlet. He's our escape valve to keep us docile.
And Virginia has ALWAYS known what to do with tyrants!
Sic Semper Tyrannus!
I think he will become like Glenn Beck or Lou Dobbs, or even Hannity and eventually just fade away as someone fresher and more provocative steps up.

You buried the lead there: most Americans apparently don't want to work. A damming realization.
Not sure how this happened, but it will spell the end of America like it destroyed the Roman Republic AND the Roman Empire.
It also suggests the correlation: we deserve it.
Sadly, we do.

Good to know.
I'd love a show just about this & setting up a local network of family & trusted friends.

Readyman on Facebook has excellent tips and the group is always willing to share and help.
Is there a company to order the radios from?
