One thing I missed when sharing my friends thoughts on the vaxx. It tied into the conspiracy theory on life insurance companies being over leveraged and unable to meet their payouts predicted for 2030. So they need acts of god outs for a mass die off, or they'll go broke. I guess they didn't keep back enough liquid capital when the upper echelon paid themselves.
The Afghan debacle and the military vaccine mandate may have been calculated to get certain military members to self-identify and separate/retire on their own instead of being forced out, leaving those who are loyal to the regime without actually having to impose political loyalty tests.

My son wants to join the Army when he grows up, like his grandpa did. I do not want him treated like those men were, just left to die for no good reason.
I face the same dilemma with my sons... but the Handley Legacy of military service ends with me. This country isn't worth our blood and treasure.... we have too much to fix at home before we can go abroad looking for dragons to slay.
I haven't yet figured out how much I want him to enlist. On the one hand, I'm incredibly proud of him. But, on the other hand, I don't want his life to be wasted fighting for some ungrateful nation. Luckily, I've still got time to figure this out. He's still so young, that he says he wants to be a GI Joe when he grows up!
