if facebook supports FIDO keys you can use this to auth on your phone (if not an iphone, there's a different one for that) instead of some kind of camera photo maybe. unless they're asking for "verification" (a la blue checkmark) rather than "authentication"

Point of order on the China/Russia banking system stuff -- that's been in the works for a long time (at least months) because US gov kept sanctioning Russians and Chinese, and they started chafing and just decided to create a SWIFT alternative. I think you can probably find articles about that from mid to late last year or perhaps even farther back.

We've also heard talk of end of petrodollar several times over the last few years, so I would say this is more of a culmination of a decade of idiotic trade and economic practices on the part of the US oligarchy.

I mean, even I would consider joining a Chinese or Russian bank right now, because I know they won't ban me from using my funds for being a "conspiracy theorist". "maga racist", "free speech absolutist on gab" or whatever bad-guy flavor of the month is being banned and blacklisted from everything under the sun.

I fully expect that if given the chance to operate normally again, even America First Free Speech Advocate (and gab founder) Andrew Torba would consider using a bank that's in the anti-SWIFT system. Not because he wants to see the collapse of the US & US global hegemony AKA "Pax Americana", but because he is literally blacklisted from VISA, Paypal, etc (and so is his mom, just for being his mom). If the American system is going to be woke-filtering, even Americans will have no choice but to trade in Yuan or BTC, and if they make BTC "illegal" here then why not just go with the global power who will flex on the US to keep its customers (read: US citizens) happy?
