Sadly the rest of the world is looking to the U.S. to not succumb. The world needs our country and our people to win, they are depending on us. It's not just out country but the whole western world is at stake. No pressure 🤣

A lot of bad people want us to fail too. Personally I am a mean and hateful person who is driven by spite. Therefore I will go to any effort to disappoint those people and watch them seethe.

So I am not the only one getting bizzare social media ads

I kinda miss the weird Wish ads. Those were hilarious at least.

The riot gear, electronic equipment, and emergency coffins from Grainger made SOME sense. I mean, I do want a lair. But even an aspiring supervillain has limits

It's funny you mentioned slavery and they are using their own people. They don't like to talk about it, because the narrative is that white europeans industrialized slavery, but really many slaves were sold by their own people because they were prisoners (often from defeated tribes, political undesirables, criminals in some cases). So it's not a new phenomenon unfortunately. It was even in the Bible, with the story of Joseph, sold into slavery by his jealous brothers.

I have a weird guy at a coffee shop story for you. Was at a Starbucks, not my regular store but I needed wifi. Guy parks his car and as he gets out he's so big the car bounces on its springs in relief. Makes his way slowly to the counter and is paying in change. Drops it all over the floor and he's in such bad shape physically he probably won't come back up if he leans so a lady offers to help. "No you won't!" He says angrily and manages to collect them after a minute. Ok, not weird yet, right? Well guy has a seat and makes a phone call on speaker. Lady picks up, "Hello?" Guy (breathing heavy): "Where are you?" Lady (noticably angry and upset): "No! You can't call me anymore!" Hangs up. Guy looks mildly surprised and continues drinking his coffee without further incident.

That’s a great story! Very New Yorker

Less weird story: Guy watching videos on his laptop. Cute blonde asks him about it. Guy is like "Oh it's Alex Jones..." And starts going into the conspiracy theories (this is 2018-ish). Surprisingly she was pretty receptive to his explanations. A good way to break the ice? I'll let you decide.

My concern is guys with guns isn't enough, even if you have a large number of them. Organization is important too, otherwise you get swept up one by one or in small pockets. I think the best thing would be to get to know your neighbors and friends and have some hypothetical conversations about, oh, the fall of our society and how you might make it through. Maybe set up a neighborhood watch or shooting club. An actual militia would be the most appropriate from a watchdog of freedom perspective, but it would probably be 50-75% glowies who want you to really describe how you would do it, hypothetically of course; oh and he knows a guy who can get you the good stuff,no questions asked...

I can't understand the cognitive dissonance about omicron. It's so thin it's absolutely laughable but some people are actually falling for this crap. Unbelievable....

Late to the comments as always but I have a weird story to tell and I blame Nick. After all he set up the cult I just joined.

I get a call and its a extended warranty call for my sons vehicle. The first part I thought was odd is he didn't call it an extended warranty. It was something like a Loyalty protection plan. That wasn't it but something along the lines of. He asks how I'm doing today I ask the same and he goes off. Gas prices, inflation, immigrations, stolen elections. You name it he covers it. I agreed with with him on the first couple but start to feel this is weird. I shut up after that and listen to him rant for about 10 minutes. I tell him "After everything you said, do you think the best thing I can do with my money is buy this?" He said "I guess I shouldn't have said those things." Thanks me and hangs up. Ever since I've wondered if that was a Fed call.

Tying together the bad marketing of the vax and the weird ads you are seeing I have two points. One advertising in general I think is a bloated and overhyped industry. I think sure if you're a new product or in a highly competitive industry you need to make people aware you exist or are an option for their patronage. But I think a lot of it is wasteful and unnecessary spending that doesn't move the needle or with the intrusion of woke activism actually makes consumers hostile to your brand. A lot of companies in and after 2020 election season told me that they hated me and my beliefs, so now I buy a lot less Coca-Cola for one example. I don't think Pepsi is on my side per se, but they haven't actively peed their pants yet by saying the quiet part out loud.

Two: advertising standards of decency are a weird myth and only exist like tax law to punish people they don't like selectively. There's all sorts of stolen artwork on tshirts for one example, and I am sure fb marketplace has plenty of craftsmen's tool's that are basically being fenced from thieves. So there's no attempt to enforce laws there. Then and more to your point perhaps is the fact that there's some pretty explicit stuff on YouTube that is monetized and not banned, but if you express wrongthink like Steven Crowder or engage in any fair use your stuff is banned or demonitized. I think demonetization is the worst because creators who make the effort and bring viewers are being hit in the pocketbook, often wrongly and can't afford it. I have more to say but I think I'll keep it for my manifesto.
