There's a fringe podcast I listen to called "Cryptids of the Corn" they have spoken at length how the Smithsonian will go to great lengths to cover up history that contradicts current beliefs. Similar to the stuff Gram Hancock has to deal with.

There are a lot of old stories that were just made up.

However, a lot were not. The Van Meter Visitor for instance. The Thunderbird. The Piasa dragon.

All hint at something rather large that was flying around the mid west.

I've been watching the Graham Hancock series on netflix. One of the things that all ancient people talk about was a prior civilization that was destroyed by a big flood. Most talk of the old civilization as something rather horrible.

Which from a civilization like the Aztecs that were rather horrible themselves makes you think.

This is fascinating! Although established science dictates that Pellucidar cannot possibly be real, . . . if nothing else, 2020 taught us to not put our trust in established science, right? And I'm saying that from an educational background in science.

I saw this thread and while it's quite spooky, it also seemed to spooky to be true. Every other source I've been able to find indicates that he probably got shot by Mexican revolutionaries; none of them mention spelunking at all.

This is interesting and does open one up to exploring things and keeping an open mind. The idea of a world with in the Earth has been around for a long time, so if it was found or some thing akin to it, well that would be a big find, one I think that could shake foundations.

I received a bunch of books by Judd Burton for Christmas. I look forward to reading about the giants and hope to find some answers to the "lost world," but I believe most have been revealed by the Divine Council Worldview espoused by biblical scholars like Dr. Michael Heiser, wherein the antediluvian world is best explained by the Bible and the Book of 1 Enoch in tandem.

Unfortunately for the Western Church, Augustine's disdain of 1 Enoch led him to deemphasize it, distorting its impact on Scripture and theology, and the Western Church followed the error for centuries.

The Nephilim were real. Since the Flood, they are now disembodied ("unclean") spirits -- demons. The giant bones found in the 19th century have been hidden away like the ark of the covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Changing the origins of Mankind alters his future. Mankind's enemies know this.

Thanks for this substack, Nick. Would that I had more time to spend online, but I thank you for it.

Off topic, but thanks brother for letting us know about Blaine L. Pardoe . I remember somehow coming across his blog entry talking about what dickheads his publisher had been.

The books look really cool. preordered the second and bought the audio, ebook and softcover of the first. If you recommend an author on the sci-fi I'm going to be on it like a no-see-um on a cow pie.

I love (yes, love...not appreciate but love) that we can disagree on politics, but all come together through your art. That's awesome.
