Two of my neighbors took the jab. One was sliding into shock, her husband had a heart event bordering on a heart attack.
Another neighbor had a full vaccine cycle. No issues. Got covid. Spent three weeks in the ICU. Still in rehab.
My cousin's family. Father had the Pfizer shot. Major complications. Then caught covid, low oxygen and brain damage. He is doing OK, but will never live independently again. His son was also full vaccinated, got the vid, and spent two weeks in the hospital. Now he can't walk.
Their Mom is my blood relative. Didn't get the shot. No vid. No symptoms.
I have an epidemiologist friend I knew in college. He is not getting the shot.
My old grandpa left school at eighth grade, but had a great understanding of people. He always said "Don' t listen to what they say, watch what they do." This isn't about the vaccine.
First.. Vaccines. I've mentioned before that I've decided that I will not be getting any of the vaccines. Too many unknowns for my taste, I don't have to associate with a lot of strange people, or fly, or anything else. My biggest concern right now is my dad, he was leaning towards getting the vaccine because the VA is jerking him around. Right now they'll take your temperature, ask you some questions, and send you on your way if you check out.. EXCEPT for Oral Surgery, they require a COVID test, or vaccination. But that got me to wondering, you know everyone working in the dental/oral surgery clinic has been vaccinated, so if its so effective.. Why are they pulling this crap? He was thinking about getting the vaccine to simplify his life, but a good friend of his got the vaccine about a month ago, and was dead within a couple weeks. Granted Doug had a quite a few underlying health conditions. I'm not keen on him getting it, he has even less interaction with the public than I do.. and at his age? I just don't think the risk is worth it.
I sent him that post from Rand Paul about the Cleveland Clinic Study that saw no difference in infection/reinfection rates between those who've been vaccinated and those who have had it. He had it when I did. But I think he's a bit rattled now because another friend just lost his son to COVID, he was 38. Its really some crazy stuff. How can you make an informed decision when the information is this murky? I don't think you can. I know people who've had the vaccine, and they seem fine, but who knows.. They could be suffering affects that aren't apparent. Who knows about fertility issues for example?
Second, I had this crazy mental image of you doing a podcast, but its a parody of the 1970s talk shows, along the lines of Fernwood-2 Night/America 2-Night. Complete with tacky 70s furniture... But I'm just weird! I think if you do a video podcast, you need to be as decentralized as possible. Stream/pot to Youtube/Twitch for as long as you can, but also upload on sites like Rumble, bitchute and whatever else is out there. I'm not sure about live streaming options, dlive is a blockchain twitch alternative, but I've not investigated it much. I need to look at those options
because I believe my D&D stream will get axed off twitch at some point.
I'll look into these things and see whats possible.
Gotta tell you I like women's college basketball. Of course my brother is a Division One Head Coach of a women's Basketall team. So yeah I'm biased but it's still good fun.
I'm inclined to agree. I teach at a D2 university. (Digression alert!) The players on the women's team can't jump out of the gym, but we have a good coach and they play fundamentally sound basketball (insert #OKBoomer here): pass and cut, set screens away from the ball, cut off passing lanes, play help defense, box out on the boards on defense/crash the boards on offense, shoes squeaking on the hardwood, etc.
Basketball is a very intricate and technical game, which tends to get overshadowed by the athleticism of the world's best players (it's not all "natural" ability, though -- remember that a big part of Michael Jordan's "G_d-given natural talent" was having the will to play hour after hour after hour on a packed dirt court behind his house). Kind of the opposite of soccer in that slowing the game down a little helps you appreciate it more.
But anyway, everyone knows _baseball_ is G_d's Own Game (insert another #OKBoomer here). :-)
Hi Ken... I appreciate the response and I wholeheartedly agree. I forwarded them on to my brother because I'm sure he'll appreciate them as well. Especially the last comment. He once tried out for the Pirates.😃
Six minutes in and got to get back to work, but re women's sports I paraphrase a story I heard from someone else: a guy was in a sports bar, women's sports were on and he asked to change the channel, saying women's sports sucked. A female athlete heard him and said she could kick his butt on the soccer field. The guy looks at her and says: "I'm out of shape and my knees are shot. If I can even put up a fight, my point is proven."
A video show would be great! And if you want to see how fast you can get demonetized on YouTube, just check out Doug TenNapel. Happened twice now in the past 3-4 months.
All you need to do is compare men's soccer world cup with the women's. The final game in the men's tournament is watched by billions across the globe. The women's finale is... uh... Most people don't even know there's a world cup.
And don't make me start on clubs in South America or Europe which usually have a fan culture that nothing in the US can even be on par with. Just go to YT and check "football ultras". No female team has such fans. Not even the national teams. Football is the ultimate display of tribalism. The clubs are the tribes with their own colors, their own dances, their own war chants. People who would at most say "good morning" to each other become brothers because they wear the same colors. There's nothing in women's football even remotely close to it.
The Patriot Act is going to be turned on the American people. I was, regrettably, for it at the time. But I was naïve and trusted my government and the Republican Party. Now I see them as equally corrupt as the DNC. They're basically just mediocre speed bumps for the Left agenda. We need a real party that values freedom and the Constitution, but I don't see that happening. I think a peaceful divorce is our only answer and our only solution.
Weirdly, it looks like Alex Jones was right about a lot of stuff. I wish he had better delivery, but maybe nobody would've heard of him if he did that? Just a random thought.
Confederacy of dunces is my new band name... also, we need to create our own servers that can't be sensors so that the info can get out
Definitely! How much?
Depends on how popular it gets!
Just started. Single White Medusa should get 90% of the speaking lines. Just saying... :D
😂 Thanks Nathan!
I'm a comedian. :D

No Savage Gaming, no peace! We riot without Sparky's Stache of Love!
I've heard that Locals is a good site to post videos.

Nothing wrong with liking.

Been off Facebook for over 3 years. Never going back. Zuck is just a liberal stinker.

So many woMEN playing women's sports these days. I don't want to watch that.
I watched the podcast in question... it was shocking.

Kill a Commie for your Mommy!
Also, YouTube would censor and then ban you real quick, fast and in a hurry-like.
