As someone who has to wear respirators in HAZMAT situations, the face coverings required by most stores do nothing to prevent the spread of disease.
For fine particulate matter, I wear at least an N95 respirator (dust mask). If it is a true HAZMAT situation, you are looking at a full face respirator such as a 3M 8000 series with chemical scrubbing cartridges underneath lovely pink particulate cartridges.
Something I have worn in situations where if it failed, I would know it for the remainder of my rather unpleasant life.
But those respirators are not allowed in COSTCO, because they 1. Look scary. 2. Have an exhale valve (need one for a good seal). 3. Karen believes her home sown face hanky is magically able to make covid go away.
When this started, old members of my team called me to see if I was as angry as they were about this madness.
If you choose to wear a respirator, do so. But make sure you know what level of protection you need for vapor particulates, how to don and doff a contaminated respirator safely, and the safe way to check for good seal. Oh, and NO facial hair. None.
But I am sure that Karen knows more than me since she watched it on the view.
The Dems do seem to barely hide their smirks don't they? I seem to get more red-pilled every day (if that's possible) and I am amazed at how corrupt our politicians are. Tying in to the current gas crisis, take a look at Grenholms conflicts with green energy companies. It's disgusting how they enrich themselves. It's on both sides of the aisle too. Two. Politicians are sociopaths. You have your Joe “Kid Sniffer” Biden, we Canadians have Justin “Black-Face” Trudeau.
Him and his father are the worse thing that has happened to Canada. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Canadians rant about the healthcare system, while thinking that months long waiting lists are normal.
Wow. The Dems truly are the party of evil. I find it disgusting that such people have control over our lives and relish putting us through hell. They will get theirs though. I’m reminded of my favorite Johnny Cash song “God’s Gonna Cut You Down.”
Great pod, I’m really enjoying it. My main job is in the category of essential services. Since I have to go into homes, I have to wear a mask, company policy. It sucks but, it allows me that little bit on anonymity.
