At work, my wife very casually mentioned the trucker convoy in Canada. Her officemate then launched into a pro-vaxx scree. She just couldn't understand why it would be bad for the government to mandate the vaxx, since it was for "public safety." For context, my wife is a college history teacher, so she brought up several examples in history of government overreach with the excuse of "public safety." But her officemate wouldn't hear it.
It's really sad that we've gotten to this point.

It really is! In my family, my wife and I are "anti-vaxx" - staunchly so - and have been from the beginning. My youngest brother is the same. But my other brother and his wife are all vaxxed up and still wearing masks.
Y'know, as much as Nick and Jason's fiction has proven to be more factual than fictional, is it really a good idea for Nick to publish his Civil War series?!? Answer: of course!
